Hiring Process and Update - September 2024
Greetings to all linguist candidates:
1WT was so fortunate to have an overwhelming response of quality people respond to our request for interpreters and translators. So much so, we must hire more recruitment staff to assist us. So: lol it's us, not you! If you cannot wait: feel free to let us know, otherwise we are working to respond back to bringing linguists onboard and training you with our special programs. We completely understand if you cannot wait: this is respected.
We also believe it is most wise to move our first 40-hour optional and professional interpreter training course to November for everyone's benefit.
Apologies for our delay and gratitude for your understanding in advance. It will be worth it in the long run.

Need training?
We have a brief, free course if you are hired to learn the basics. The free education is for linguists who are hired. Please write to recruit@oneworldtranslation.com and please include your resume.
We will be offering a 40-hour Professional Interpreting course: either the Bridging the Gap or The Community Interpreter and then likely alternate these courses each month.
Each course will be taught over a month's time: two evenings a week and usually a Saturday, occasionally a Sunday afternoon to fulfill the 40-hours.

The costs will be hundreds lass than the current market charges; keeping in line with our company's mission of access: $525. The Community Interpreter course may require a slight extra book charge, as their books cost more.
